Install the Fugo player app on your device

Start by considering what you need the screen to show. Simple media, menus, and announcements can run well on lighter hardware such as the Amazon Signage Stick or supported Android devices. More demanding content, including Power BI, Looker, Grafana Cloud, web apps and embedded websites, needs more processing power. For those projects, we recommend hardware such as Windows or ChromeOS mini PCs, BrightSign players, or professional Sony BRAVIA displays.

The installation matters too. If you want an all-in-one display with no external player, look at professional displays such as Sony BRAVIA or Philips professional displays. Outdoor, window-facing, interactive, and video wall projects can also require specific display hardware.

Yes. There are two ways to try Fugo in your browser before buying dedicated signage hardware.

You can open the Fugo Browser Player in Chrome or another Chromium-based browser, pair it to your Fugo account, and test your content on your existing computer.

You can also install the Fugo Chrome Extension and use it as a temporary player.

Both are useful for testing Fugo and getting familiar with the CMS before you commit to hardware. For permanent, always-on signage, we recommend using a supported media player or professional display instead.

That depends on the display.

On supported Sony BRAVIA and other Android TVs, you can install the Fugo Player through Google Play. Professional Sony BRAVIA displays can also be provisioned with Sony Zero Touch. See Sony BRAVIA setup options.

Philips professional displays can deploy Fugo through PPDS Wave and ProStore. See Philips setup options.

Samsung Smart Signage Platform (SSSP) displays run Fugo directly on their built-in Tizen player and can be configured through the display or provisioned through Tizen Business Manager on supported models. See Samsung SSSP setup options.

LG professional displays run Fugo directly on webOS Signage, with the Fugo app configured through the display’s signage settings.

The Fugo Browser Player runs the Fugo Player directly inside a browser tab, with nothing to install. Open player.fugo.ai in Chrome, Edge, Brave, or another current Chromium-based browser, pair the screen with a PIN, and manage it from Fugo CMS like your other screens.

It’s a useful option for trials, temporary displays, and devices that accept a URL as a display source. Because playback depends on the browser staying open, awake, and in the foreground, we don’t recommend it as the primary player for permanent, everyday signage.

You can download or install the Fugo Player on supported platforms without first creating a Fugo account. You’ll need an account to pair the player, publish content, and manage the screen from Fugo CMS.
