Use cases

Common manufacturing screen setups

Manufacturing environments have demanding communication requirements across production, safety, quality, and workforce management. Fugo handles all of them.

Show line performance and targets

Connect Fugo to your SCADA systems, MES platforms, ERP, or data historians via API to display live OEE, units produced, defect rates, downtime, and target-vs-actual progress on screens at every production line, cell, and area.

Platform features

Screens that work across lines, shifts, and sites

Fugo is designed to meet the technical demands of manufacturing environments — from the plant floor to the boardroom — with robust hardware options, reliable operation, and easy integration with industrial data systems.

Scheduling for shift changes and recurring content

Standard consumer media players are not designed for the heat, dust, and continuous operation demands of a factory floor. Fugo supports industrial-grade hardware players rated for continuous 24/7 operation, wide temperature ranges, and dusty or high-humidity environments.

Role-based publishing by line, zone, or site

Connect Fugo to SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and other ERP/MES platforms to pull production orders, inventory levels, quality metrics, and scheduling data onto floor screens in real time. Our REST API connector supports virtually any industrial data source.

Support for dashboards and operational web apps

Different areas of your facility need different information. Fugo's screen grouping system lets you assign specific content to specific zones — assembly, finishing, dispatch, quality control — with different data sources, metrics, and messaging for each.

Common questions

Manufacturing digital signage FAQs

Answers to the most common questions about deploying Fugo in manufacturing and industrial environments.

Can Fugo display dashboards from our BI tools?

Fugo can connect to any data source that exposes data via REST API, web-accessible dashboard, or data export to a format like Google Sheets or CSV. Many SCADA systems and data historians provide OData endpoints or REST APIs that Fugo can connect to directly. For systems without a web API, the common approach is to route data through an intermediary tool like Google Sheets or Power BI.

How do we publish different content by area or line?

For factory floor deployments, we recommend pairing commercial or industrial-grade displays with Fugo's enterprise hardware player rather than consumer-grade sticks. The enterprise player is designed for 24/7 continuous operation, has enhanced thermal management, and includes watchdog software for automatic recovery.

What playback options work in factory environments?

Fugo uses a screen grouping system that maps perfectly to this requirement. You create screen groups that correspond to your factory zones — Assembly Line 1, Assembly Line 2, Quality Control, Dispatch, Maintenance — and assign each group a different content playlist with the relevant data sources and metrics for that area.
