Common questions

Corporate digital signage FAQs

Get answers to the most common questions about deploying and managing digital signage in corporate environments.

What hardware do we need to run Fugo in an office?

Fugo works with most commercial displays you already own. All you need is a screen with an HDMI port and a small media player (Amazon Fire TV Stick, Chromecast, or a Raspberry Pi all work well) or a smart TV with a built-in browser. Fugo also has a dedicated hardware player available for enterprise deployments that require offline resilience, 24/7 operation, or advanced management features. We do not lock you into proprietary hardware, which means your existing investment is protected.

How does Fugo connect to internal tools like Salesforce or Power BI?

Fugo uses a no-code integration layer that connects directly to your data sources via official APIs. For Salesforce, you authenticate with your Salesforce credentials and choose which objects and reports to display. For Power BI, you publish a report or dashboard and embed it in Fugo with one click. For Google Sheets and similar tools, you paste a shareable link and Fugo polls the data automatically. For tools not in our native integration library, Fugo supports REST API connections and webhooks, so virtually any data source that has an API can be connected.

How do we control what different teams can publish?

Fugo has a granular role-based access control system. You can designate global admins who can manage all screens and content, regional or office-level managers who can only manage screens in their location, and department-level editors who can publish content to their own screens — all within the guardrails you set. You can also lock templates so that editors can update content like text and images but cannot change the layout or branding. This makes it easy to maintain brand consistency while giving teams the autonomy to keep their content relevant.

How do permissions work across multiple offices?

Yes, Fugo is designed for exactly this use case. Our enterprise plan includes unlimited screens, unlimited users, advanced role-based permissions, SSO via SAML 2.0 (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace), SCIM user provisioning, custom SLAs, and a dedicated account management team. We work with customers who manage thousands of screens across dozens of countries from a single Fugo workspace. Our global CDN ensures low latency content delivery regardless of where your screens are located.

What happens if a screen location loses internet access?

Most organisations are live with their first screens within the same day they sign up. The basic setup — creating an account, connecting a screen, and publishing your first piece of content — takes under 15 minutes. For large enterprise rollouts that include SSO configuration, custom integrations, and content migration, our implementation team works with you over a structured onboarding process that typically takes one to three weeks depending on scope.

What happens if our internet connection goes down at a screen location?

Fugo's media players cache content locally so that screens continue displaying the last downloaded content even if internet connectivity is lost. This means your screens won't go black during network outages. When connectivity is restored, the player automatically syncs any new or updated content. For locations with particularly unreliable connectivity, our enterprise hardware player includes enhanced local storage and offline management capabilities.
