Common questions

Digital signage for schools FAQs

Everything schools, colleges and universities ask before deploying Fugo across campus.

What is digital signage for schools?

Digital signage for schools means running content on screens across your campus (wayfinding directories, emergency alerts, cafeteria menus, event boards and classroom displays) from a single dashboard. With Fugo you manage every screen across every building from one place, schedule content around the academic calendar and control who can publish. See digital bulletin boards and digital lobby signage for common setups.

Can I send an emergency alert to every screen at once?

Yes. From the dashboard you can trigger an emergency alert that overrides whatever is playing and shows the same message on every screen within seconds. You clear it just as quickly when the situation is over. The alert is triggered manually from the Fugo dashboard.

What hardware do I need?

Fugo is hardware-agnostic and works with the screens you already own. It runs on Amazon Fire TV and the Amazon Signage Stick, Google TV Streamer, NVIDIA Shield, Android, Samsung Tizen and LG webOS, plus Windows and ChromeOS. Add an inexpensive media player to any screen with an HDMI input and you're ready to go.

Can I manage multiple buildings or campuses?

Yes. Group screens by building, campus or department and manage them all from one dashboard. Publish to a single screen, a group, or every screen at once for campus-wide announcements, while each department keeps a scoped editor and central admin retains oversight.

Is it secure enough for our IT team?

Fugo is SOC 2 Type II certified, supports single sign-on and gives you role-based permissions so people only manage the screens they are responsible for. Uptime monitoring and remote recovery let your team keep screens running without on-site visits.

How much does it cost?

Fugo uses simple, per-screen pricing with no long-term contracts, so you only pay for the displays you run. See our pricing for current rates, or book a demo to talk through a campus rollout. You can also explore the Design Studio and conference-room signage.
