Why Samsung SSSP

Commercial signage built into the display

Samsung Smart Signage runs Fugo on the display’s own Tizen SoC — professional-grade panels engineered for always-on signage.

No external player

SSSP displays run Fugo on the built-in Tizen SoC — no media box, cabling, or extra hardware to source and maintain.

Commercial, up to 24/7

Samsung’s commercial panels are built for continuous operation and rated for the always-on demands of digital signage.

Zero-touch fleet deployment

Pre-provision Fugo across your estate by serial number with Samsung Tizen Business Manager — no manual setup at each screen.

Industry-leading displays

Choose from Samsung’s professional QBB, QMB, and QHB series — landscape or portrait, indoor or outdoor.

Setup

Get a Samsung SSSP screen live

Install Fugo as a URL-launcher web app during first setup, or deploy a whole fleet zero-touch by serial number. The web app is recommended — it updates automatically, so every screen stays current and secure.

1

Point the display at Fugo

On a fresh display, run through factory reset, language, terms and conditions, and network, then choose Manual Setup. Set the display orientation, select Custom App, and enter the URL https://t.fugo.ai (some older panels need http://). Skip the MagicINFO server, set Auto Power Off to Off, and set an accurate date, time, and timezone.

Fugo installs and shows a pairing code

The Samsung display downloads and launches the Fugo web app on its own Tizen SoC, then shows a pairing PIN and QR code. No external player or box is involved — the app runs natively on the screen.

Pair the screen in Fugo CMS

Log in to Fugo CMS on any browser, create a screen, and enter the PIN shown on the display. Give the screen a name and location, and it appears on your Screens page ready for content.

Or deploy a fleet zero-touch

For larger estates on Tizen 6.5 or newer, enrol your displays by serial number in Samsung Tizen Business Manager (TBM). Assign the Fugo profile once and every enrolled screen provisions itself, installing and launching the latest Fugo player with no on-site setup.

SSSP vs consumer Samsung TVs

Choose commercial SSSP for reliable signage

Fugo is built for Samsung’s commercial Smart Signage Platform. Consumer Samsung TVs are a lower-cost fallback, but they run Fugo differently.

Samsung SSSP (recommended)

The Fugo app runs natively on the display’s Tizen SoC, with commercial reliability, multi-zone playback, portrait and landscape orientation, offline media, and remote screenshots and updates. No external player needed.

Consumer Samsung TVs

Consumer displays generally run Fugo from the screen’s built-in browser, which is non-ideal for always-on signage. For these, we recommend attaching an external player rather than relying on the TV itself.

Supported content & features

What Fugo plays on Samsung smart signage

SSSP displays run the full Fugo feature set — the same media, apps, and controls you get on any Fugo player, right on the Tizen SoC.

Media & file types

Play images (JPEG, JPEG 2000, PNG, WebP, SVG, GIF), video (MP4, MPG, MPEG, MOV, AVI), MP3 audio, and PDF documents. Media is cached for offline playback so screens keep running if the network drops.

Orientation & layout

Mount displays in landscape or portrait and split the canvas into multiple zones, including two concurrent video or stream zones on a single SSSP screen.

Apps, webpages & dashboards

Add integrations from the Fugo App Store — social walls, news, weather, and live TV dashboards — plus embedded webpages, all scheduled from Fugo CMS.

Remote monitoring

Capture remote screenshots to confirm what each Samsung display is playing, and push Fugo application updates over the air across your whole estate.

Offline resilience

Content keeps playing from the display’s local cache during connectivity drops, then syncs the moment the Samsung screen is back online.

Commercial reliability

SSSP panels are engineered for extended 16/7 or 24/7 operation, high brightness, and demanding installations — from wall mounts to outdoor OH-series enclosures.

Samsung SSSP digital signage FAQs

Which Samsung displays does Fugo support?

Fugo runs on Samsung Smart Signage Platform (SSSP) displays on Tizen. New Tizen 6.5 / SSSP10 panels — the QBB, QMB, and QHB series plus the QE82N — are recommended for new purchases, and older Tizen 4.0 / SSSP6 models are supported. Not every Samsung product is SSSP-compatible, so check the Samsung hardware directory for the full list before you buy.

Do I need an external player for Samsung smart signage?

No. Samsung SSSP displays run Fugo on the built-in Tizen system-on-chip (SoC) — there is no external media player, box, or extra cabling to source and manage. The commercial panel is the player.

How do I install Fugo on a Samsung SSSP display?

Install Fugo as a URL-launcher web app: during setup choose Manual Setup, select Custom App, and enter https://t.fugo.ai (use http:// on older panels that don’t support HTTPS). Alternatively, install from a USB stick using the Fugo.wgt and sssp_config.xml files. We recommend the web app because it receives automatic updates, whereas a USB install does not. See the full SSSP setup guide for step-by-step instructions.

Can I deploy Fugo across a fleet of Samsung screens at once?

Yes. On Tizen 6.5 or newer, use Samsung Tizen Business Manager (TBM) for zero-touch deployment. Enrol your displays by serial number and assign the Fugo enrolment profile once — each screen then reaches out to the configuration server, installs the latest Fugo player, and launches it automatically, with no manual setup at each display.

Can I run Fugo on a consumer Samsung TV?

Consumer Samsung TVs generally run Fugo from the screen’s built-in browser, which is not ideal for always-on signage. For consumer displays we recommend attaching an external player rather than relying on the TV itself. If you’re unsure whether your screen is consumer or commercial grade, see our guide to using Fugo with a consumer Samsung display.

What are the firmware requirements?

Fugo needs Tizen 4.0 with SSSP6 as a minimum, and zero-touch deployment via Samsung Tizen Business Manager needs Tizen 6.5 or newer. Fugo does not support SSSP firmware 1090.7.

Why does my display show “unable to connect to server”?

This is almost always caused by an incorrect date, time, or timezone on the display, or an SSL certificate issue on older firmware. Set the exact clock, make sure the URL is lowercase, try the http:// fallback, and update the display’s firmware. If it persists, install from USB. Never interrupt a firmware update once it starts, as an interrupted update can brick the display.
