Fugo NUC FAQs

What’s included when I buy a Fugo NUC?

The Fugo NUC comes with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC and the Fugo Player already installed and set to launch automatically when the device starts. Hardware includes an Intel Celeron N5105 processor, 8 GB of RAM, a 128 GB SSD, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 5, and a VESA mount for installing the player behind a display.

The Windows license is included with the hardware. A Fugo software subscription is separate and is licensed per screen. You can start a 14-day free trial before subscribing, or contact sales@fugo.ai if you’re planning a larger rollout.

What kind of signage is the Fugo NUC best suited for?

The NUC is a good fit when the player has more work to do than simply loop images and video. That includes data-heavy dashboards, web content, multi-zone layouts, 4K media, multiple displays, and installations that need to run continuously. Windows also gives Fugo more headroom for browser-based content and supports features such as webpages, website scripting, offline playback, and concurrent video zones.

It’s particularly useful for teams displaying TV dashboards, building video walls, or standardising signage inside an existing Windows environment.

How many displays can one Fugo NUC run?

One Fugo NUC can drive up to three displays. The player includes two HDMI outputs, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C, so a single device can cover a multi-screen installation without putting a separate player behind every display.

If you only need one screen, that extra capacity simply gives you room to expand later.

Can I use the Fugo NUC for a video wall?

Yes. The Fugo NUC can power video walls of up to three displays from a single player. You configure the connected displays in Intel Graphics Command Center, then create the wall as one canvas in Fugo’s Design Studio so content spans the full display area.

How much setup is required when the NUC arrives?

Very little. Fugo is already installed and launches automatically when the NUC starts. The first time you power it on, you’ll connect the player to Wi-Fi or Ethernet, pair it to your Fugo account using the PIN shown on screen, and then publish your content.

Kiosk mode is deliberately left off during initial setup so you can access Windows while configuring the device. Once everything is connected, you can turn kiosk mode on from the screen settings in Fugo CMS to keep the player locked into signage playback. The Fugo NUC setup guide walks through the process.

How does the Fugo NUC fit into a Windows IT environment?

The NUC runs Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021, with support through 2032, so teams already managing Microsoft infrastructure don’t have to introduce an unfamiliar operating system just for signage.

Fugo handles the signage layer from the cloud, including publishing, scheduling, screen monitoring, player updates, and kiosk settings. Windows devices can also sit within existing Microsoft endpoint-management workflows; Fugo supports deployment of its Windows Player through Microsoft Intune for organizations that manage applications that way.
