Can I display a Splunk dashboard on a TV screen?

Yes. Any Splunk dashboard you can open in a browser can be displayed on a TV screen using digital signage software that signs in on your behalf and publishes the result to managed displays.

Splunk itself has no TV or wallboard mode, so the screen management, authentication, and refresh have to come from somewhere else.

Do I have to make my Splunk dashboard public to show it on a screen?

No, and you shouldn’t.

Splunk dashboards can be shared with an app or made available to more roles, but neither is a good fit for an always-on screen: one still requires the viewer to log in, and the other widens access to the data itself.

Fugo signs in with a single stored account and sends only the rendered image to the screen, so nothing is made public and no anonymous access is enabled.

How does Fugo sign in to Splunk?

You give Fugo the dashboard URL and the login steps it should replay — username, password, and a two-factor code or authenticator seed if your account uses one.

Fugo signs in inside a secure cloud browser, exactly as you would, captures a screenshot of the live dashboard, and sends that image to your screens on the schedule you set. Credentials are encrypted and stored in Fugo’s cloud, never on the TV or signage player.

If a password or 2FA seed changes, you update it once in Fugo. Nobody has to touch the screen.

Does everyone watching the screen need a Splunk seat?

No. Only the single account Fugo uses to capture the dashboard needs access to Splunk. Everyone else sees the rendered view on screen, which is what makes it practical to put Splunk data in front of a whole floor without multiplying licence costs.

Is any Splunk data stored on the TV or signage device?

No. Only the rendered visual output reaches the screen. Searches, raw events, and credentials all stay in the cloud, and access is limited to whatever the connected account is permitted to see.

Will this work with SSO or multi-factor authentication?

Yes. The login steps Fugo replays can include SSO redirects and a two-factor step, so the setup works inside standard enterprise authentication policies without repeated prompts appearing on the screen.

How often does the Splunk dashboard refresh on screen?

You choose the interval, from every few minutes to a few times a day. Fugo recaptures the dashboard on that schedule and swaps in the new view automatically, so it is a regularly refreshed snapshot rather than a live video feed.

Can I customize how the Splunk dashboard looks on a TV?

Yes. Fugo includes a visual editor called the Design Studio, where you can:

  • Crop the dashboard down to the panels that matter on a large screen
  • Resize and position it alongside other content
  • Add titles, ticker text, QR codes, or labels for context
  • Overlay branding, team logos, or a clock

Splunk dashboards are often dense by design, so cropping to a few panels usually reads far better from a distance than shrinking the whole page.

Can I show more than one Splunk dashboard, or different ones per screen?

Yes. Each dashboard is added separately, so you can rotate several through a playlist, send different dashboards to different teams or sites, and manage the whole estate from one portal.

What about dashboards on a Splunk instance behind our firewall?

Can I put Splunk dashboards somewhere other than a TV?

What screens can I use?

What happens if the screen or player restarts?

Playback is managed centrally, so dashboards resume automatically after a restart or a network drop. Nobody has to log back in on-site.
