Common questions

Grocery store digital signage FAQs

Everything you need to know before deploying digital signage across your supermarket or food retail locations.

Can we run different content by department?

Yes. Fugo can connect to your pricing or inventory management system via API or data feed. When a price changes in your system, the corresponding screen updates automatically — no manual intervention required. This eliminates the risk of displaying outdated prices and reduces the labour cost of manually updating printed shelf talkers.

Can promotions be scheduled to start and end automatically?

Fugo lets you assign different content playlists to different screens, even within the same store. A screen near the deli counter can show fresh prepared food menus while a screen at the store entrance shows weekly specials — all managed from the same dashboard. You can group screens by department, zone, or any other criteria that makes sense for your store layout.

How do we manage content across multiple stores?

Yes. Fugo has a full scheduling engine that supports time-of-day, day-of-week, and date-range scheduling. You can create a weekly special that goes live at 9am on Monday and expires at midnight on Sunday, all without any manual intervention. Dayparting lets you show breakfast items in the morning and lunch specials at midday on the same screen.

What hardware is supported?

Fugo is built for multi-location management. You can push national promotions to every screen in every store simultaneously, or target specific stores with regional offers. Store managers can be given access to update local content within boundaries set by head office, ensuring brand consistency while allowing local flexibility.

What hardware do we need to run Fugo in our stores?

Fugo works with any commercial display that has an HDMI input. You add a small media player — such as an Amazon Fire TV Stick, Chromecast with Google TV, or a dedicated Fugo player — and Fugo runs directly on it. For shelf-edge displays, Fugo also supports a range of commercial digital shelf label and small-format screen solutions.
