Cloud based digital signage, run from your browser

Cloud based digital signage means the software that runs your screens lives online, not on a server in your building. You log in from a browser, build content, and push it to every screen you own. Fugo works this way on hardware you already have, bills per screen, and still shows dashboards that only exist behind your firewall.

Pairing a new screen in Fugo cloud based digital signage using a PIN from any browser

What cloud based digital signage means

There are three parts to any signage setup: the screens, a small player attached to each one, and the software that decides what plays. In a cloud setup, that third part runs online. You reach it from a browser tab, and the players connect out to it over the internet to pull down what they have been told to show.

  • No signage server to buy, patch or replace

  • No site visit to change what a screen shows

  • No version drift between locations

Cloud or on-premise, which one you actually need

Cloud suits you when you have more than one site, a small IT team, or screens that change weekly. On-premise still makes sense when a system genuinely cannot reach the internet, or when a rule says content must never leave a building. The point most vendors skip: most organisations do not need to pick. Fugo is cloud managed, but it can display dashboards and internal tools that only exist on your local network, so sensitive data stays behind your firewall while the screen still shows it. Local app casting streams desktop apps and local content to screens directly.

What you get without buying a server

Everything runs from the browser, so a new capability is a login away rather than a server upgrade.

Design Studio and templates

Build a layout in the browser and reuse it everywhere.

Playlists, scheduling and day-parting

Set what plays and when, per screen or per group.

Dashboards on TV

Put Power BI, Tableau, Grafana or any web dashboard on a screen.

Multi-site management

Organise screens by label, location or custom property, and publish to many at once.

Setup in minutes

Pair a new screen with a PIN, name it, set orientation, done.

Screen views

Table, grid, live preview, map or floor plan, whichever suits your estate.

SSO, roles and spaces

Let people log in with company accounts, and keep teams or clients separated.

Remote operation

Screens report their health, you are alerted when one drops offline, and you can restart or troubleshoot a player without driving anywhere.

Works on hardware you already own

Being cloud based should not mean buying a proprietary box. Fugo runs on Amazon Fire TV and the Fire TV Signage Stick, Google TV Streamer, NVIDIA Shield, Android devices, Samsung Tizen and LG webOS built into the display, plus Windows and ChromeOS machines.

What it costs

Cloud signage is a subscription, and Fugo prices per screen. That is the whole model: you pay for the screens you run, and you add or remove them as your estate changes. No perpetual licence, no server to depreciate.

Security and access

Fugo is SOC 2 Type II. Roles and permissions mean people only reach the screens they own, SSO removes the second password to manage, and Spaces keep locations, teams or clients separated.

Frequently asked questions

What is cloud based digital signage?

Cloud based digital signage means the software that runs your screens lives online rather than on a server in your building. You log in from a browser, build content, and push it to every screen you own. A small player attached to each screen connects out over the internet and pulls down what it has been told to show.

Is cloud based digital signage better than on-premise?

For most organisations, yes. Cloud suits you when you have more than one site, a small IT team, or screens that change weekly, because there is no server to buy, patch or replace. On-premise still makes sense when a system genuinely cannot reach the internet. With Fugo you rarely have to pick: it is cloud managed but can still display dashboards that only exist on your local network.

What hardware does cloud digital signage need?

A screen, a small player attached to it, and a browser to manage everything. Fugo runs on Amazon Fire TV and the Fire TV Signage Stick, Google TV Streamer, NVIDIA Shield, Android devices, Samsung Tizen and LG webOS built into the display, plus Windows and ChromeOS machines. You do not need a proprietary box.

How much does cloud based digital signage cost?

Cloud signage is a subscription, and Fugo prices per screen. You pay for the screens you run and add or remove them as your estate changes. There is no perpetual licence and no server to depreciate. See the pricing page for current per-screen rates.

Can cloud signage show data that has to stay inside our network?

Yes. Fugo is cloud managed, but it can display on-premise dashboards and internal tools that only exist behind your firewall, so sensitive data stays on your local network while the screen still shows it. Local app casting streams desktop apps and local content to screens directly.
