Keep in mind that if you are using a device that's not officially supported or doesn't meet the minimum OS requirements, the Fugo app may encounter performance problems or may not be accessible.

Amazon makes many different devices across multiple product ranges, and this makes it very difficult to gauge what their capabilities are across all products. The end result is that making a minimum requirements specification is not practical. Instead, we have tested a wide range of popular Amazon products, and rated their suitability according to Fugo’s testing requirements.

Perhaps one of the most familiar platforms to most people, Windows based computers are used in almost all corporate environments.

Supported Features

A minimum internet speed of at least 10 mpbs is required to run Fugo optimally.

You can use websites such as http://speedtest.att.com/speedtest/ or https://www.speedcheck.org to check the speed and strength of your connection.

You can usually check the WiFi signal strength for most devices directly in the settings menu.

WiFi

Different digital signage devices will support different levels of WiFi, and in general, if you can get a device that supports 802.11ac WiFi, you’ll get the best network speeds. Most the devices we recommend either support 802.11 ac, n or g WiFi. At 1,300 Mbps, 802.11ac is about 3 times faster than 802.11n at 450 Mbps. 802.11g is much slower at 54 Mbps, but most the devices we list support at least 802.11n.

On the flip side, your internet speed probably won’t ever be 1,300 Mbps, or even 450 Mbps for that matter, so this won’t affect your internet speed much, but what you get from a device with 802.11ac WiFi is more stable connectivity and up to date internals, which promise a better experience.

Ethernet

For some use cases, you'll want a digital signage device to connect to the internet via a wired connection with an Ethernet cable. In this case the best device to choose is of course one that includes an Ethernet port, but some devices also have support for official Ethernet adapter or 3rd party adapters.

You’ll also want to check what Ethernet speed your device supports and make sure you are using the correct cables to match.
