So you’ve got your screen and are ready to connect to a digital signage software and publish your content!

In this guide we’ll walk you through how to Install Fugo on your device, pair your screen, and start displaying your content.

Install the Fugo player app onto your device

1. Make sure your device (that is, your smart TV and/or connected media player) is connected to your screen and to the internet via WiFi or ethernet network.

2. Next you'll need to install the Fugo player app on your device.

Installation instructions vary depending on which device and operating system (OS) you have.

We have dedicated guides for each OS that explain how to install Fugo app on your device.

You can find the guide for your selected hardware from the list here.

💡 If you haven’t selected any hardware, you can test out Fugo on your laptop, PC, or tablet with our Chrome extension player, which functions essentially as a virtual screen.

You can also launch the Fugo player in your device's Chrome browser using https://player.fugo.ai/.

3. Once the app is installed, launch it on your device.

4. Launching the app will automatically generate a 4-digit PIN on your screen. We’ll cover where to enter this PIN in the next section.

Pair your screen to Fugo CMS

1. If you haven't registered a Fugo account yet, you can head over to fugo.ai/app to start your 14-day free trial or log into your existing account.

2. After logging in, head to your Screens page and click Create Screen.

Alternatively, you can click the Create button in the top left corner of the the screen and then select Screen.

3. Enter the PIN you see displayed on your TV screen into the space provided.

4. To finish the pairing process, give your screen a name and add a location if you want to be able to see it in the map view.

If this is your first time pairing a screen, we'll add it to a screen group automatically called "Main." This is so that we can automatically add a sample playlist of content to your screen to help you get the hang of how playlists & screens work together.

You can opt to leave this screen ungrouped by choosing No group from the drop down.

You can also ungroup it any time later from the Screens page:

💡 If you're pairing an Android device, you'll be prompted to complete a few more extra configuring steps just to ensure the Fugo app runs smoothly.

Find more detail in our Android setup guide.

5. Your new screen will now be listed on your Screens page as a tile.

Clicking on the screen's name in the screen tile to open its management dashboard.

The management dashboard allows you to check your content playback, activity logs, enable casting, and configure settings.

We cover the screen management dashboard in depth here.

Publish content with Fugo CMS

With your device ready to go, you’re ready to give it something to play!

Fugo allows you to display several types of content:

We cover our supported content types in depth here.

Note: If this is your first time pairing a screen, you'll see a "Sample Playlist" in your account, first on your Playlists page:

And on the Playlists tab of your screen's dashboard:

This playlist will be automatically published to your screen if you opted to add the screen into the default Main group in step 4 of the previous section.

You can remove it from your screen with the Unpublish button on the playlist tile:

A great place to start experimenting with content is the playlist builder, accessible from the Playlists page of your account:

Check out our playlist collection to learn more about publishing & scheduling content on screen.
