Note: Some Philips displays run standard Android without Wave support. In those cases, Fugo may still run via manual APK installation (sideloading).

This directory focuses specifically on Wave-enabled professional displays and the supported deployment model through Philips ProStore.

Understanding Philips Wave Displays

Philips professional displays use the Wave platform for remote device management and application deployment.

Wave-enabled displays are commercial Android-based signage displays designed for:

  • Continuous operation

  • Remote fleet management

  • Application installation via Philips ProStore

Fugo runs on Philips displays that:

  • Support the Wave platform

  • Have the Wave app installed

  • Are claimed inside a Wave account

Minimum requirements

To run Fugo on a Philips Wave-enabled display, you must have:

  • A Philips professional display that supports Wave

  • Compatible firmware (see Philips Wave supported display list)

  • The Wave app installed and active on the display

  • The display claimed in your Wave account

  • Network access allowing outbound ports 80, 443, and 8883

Wave Lite is sufficient to run Fugo. Wave Essential is required only for bulk display claiming and advanced fleet features.

Supported display lines

Wave support depends on both model and firmware version. Refer to Philips’ official Wave documentation to confirm compatibility for your specific model.

The following Philips professional display lines are supported under Wave (subject to firmware requirements):

  • Q-Line

  • D-Line

  • T-Line

  • E-Line

  • C-Line

  • S-Line

  • CRD Series

  • B-Line (additional installation requirements may apply)

  • I-Line (limited support)

  • P-Line (firmware-specific support)

Because Wave support depends on firmware, we recommend confirming compatibility directly in the Philips Wave documentation before purchasing hardware for new deployments.

Recommended for new deployments

For new purchases, we recommend selecting current-generation Philips professional displays that:

  • Ship with recent Android firmware

  • Are explicitly listed as Wave-supported

  • Receive ongoing firmware updates

D-Line and Q-Line displays are commonly deployed in commercial signage environments and are generally suitable for Fugo deployments when running supported firmware.

Performance notes

Philips Wave-enabled displays are commercial signage hardware designed for extended operation and professional environments.

Supported capabilities when running Fugo include:

  • Landscape and portrait orientation

  • Scheduled and automated playback

  • Web-based dashboards and apps

  • Remote screen monitoring

  • Remote application updates via Wave

  • Offline playback of uploaded media

Performance will vary depending on:

  • Firmware version

  • Network stability

  • Dashboard complexity

  • Concurrent content usage

For high-performance dashboard environments, ensure stable wired connectivity where possible.
