Overview: Philips, Wave, and ProStore
Philips professional displays use a platform called Wave to manage screens remotely. Instead of installing apps directly on the display like a consumer TV, Wave allows you to register your displays online, manage them from a browser, and install approved applications remotely.
Applications such as Fugo are distributed through the Philips ProStore, which works together with Wave.
Once a display is connected to Wave and assigned to your organization, you can install Fugo to it without manually transferring files or accessing the device locally.
In practical terms, getting Fugo running on a Philips display involves:
Installing and activating the Wave app on the display
Claiming the display inside your Wave account
Installing Fugo from ProStore
Pairing the display with your Fugo account
Below we'll walk through that process.
☝️ About Wave Subscriptions
Philips Wave is offered in different subscription tiers: Lite and Essential.
Wave Lite supports core functionality, including registering displays, single-device claiming, remote management, and installing apps from ProStore.
Wave Essential includes additional features designed for larger deployments, such as bulk display claiming and expanded fleet-level management controls.
Your available features in Wave will depend on your subscription level. Wave access and subscription management are handled directly by Philips Professional Display Solutions (PPDS).
A Wave subscription (minimum: Wave Lite) is required to claim displays and install applications from ProStore. Advanced fleet features such as bulk display claiming require a Wave Essential subscription, but Essential is not required to run Fugo itself.
Requirements
To run Fugo on a Philips display using Wave, you will need:
1. A Philips professional display that supports the Wave platform
Wave is supported on selected Philips professional display lines including Q-Line, D-Line, T-Line, E-Line and others.
Compatibility depends on model and firmware version. Refer to Philips Wave documentation to confirm your specific model is supported.
2. A Wave account with a Lite subscription.
Wave is Philips’ remote display management platform. Displays must be registered and managed in Wave before applications such as Fugo can be installed.
Wave access is invite-only. If your organization has already been onboarded, you can log in at: https://wave.ppds.com
If you do not yet have access to Wave, contact Philips Professional Display Solutions (PPDS) to request onboarding: https://www.ppds.com/contact
3. A Fugo account
Log in or sign up for Fugo trial trial at https://www.fugo.ai/app.
4. Network connectivity
The display must have an active internet connection (Ethernet or Wi-Fi).
Wave requires outbound internet access on ports:
80 (HTTP)
443 (HTTPS)
8883 (MQTT)
Setup
Install the Wave App on your display
Wave works together with the Wave Android application, which must be installed on the display before it can be managed.
Download the correct Wave app for your display model from Philips’ supported list.
Install the Wave app on the display.
Open the Wave app.
When opened, the app will display a 6-digit code. This code is required to claim the display:
The Wave app should remain installed and running in the background to maintain connection to the Wave platform.
Log in to Wave
Open a supported desktop browser.
Go to: https://wave.ppds.com
Log in using your Wave credentials.
Wave operates using an organization structure. At least one customer must exist before displays can be claimed.
.
If needed, create a customer for your organization.
Claim the display
Claiming links the display to your Wave customer so it can be managed and receive applications.
Before claiming, ensure:
The Wave app is installed on the display
The Wave app is open and showing a claim code
Single display claim (most common)
Use this method when setting up one display at a time.
1. In Wave, open your customer.
2. Select Claim display > Single display claim.
3. Enter the 6-digit code shown in the Wave app on the display.
4. Confirm the display details (model and serial number).
5. Complete the setup wizard (alias, site, timezone).
Once claimed, the display will appear in your Wave display overview and can receive applications.
Bulk display claim (Essential subscription required)
If you are deploying multiple displays, Wave allows bulk claiming using a generated bulk claim code (available with an Essential subscription).
In this case:
1. Generate a bulk claim code in Wave.
2. Open the Wave app on each display.
3. Enter the generated bulk claim code.
4. Each display will automatically link to the selected customer.
Install Fugo via the ProStore
Fugo is available through the Philips ProStore here.

4. Install Fugo from your available apps.

2. Log in to your Fugo account from your browser.
3. Go to your Screens page and click Create Screen.
