Fugo & your SAP Analytics dashboard
With the SAP Analytics Cloud app inside Fugo CMS, you can securely connect your digital signage to your SAP account and display real-time dashboards on screens across your workplace without manual uploads or public URLs.
Unlike workarounds that expose business data or require device-stored credentials, Fugo handles your connection securely in the cloud.
Your SAP credentials are encrypted and stored privately. Fugo logs into your SAP workspace, captures an encrypted screenshot of your dashboard, and delivers it to your connected screens at your chosen refresh interval.
Note: The Dashboards feature is available by booking a demo call with our team.
During the call, we’ll walk you through what’s needed to set up your dashboards and discuss any additional support you might require.
Afterward, we’ll enable Dashboards on your account or trial so you can start using the feature right away.
Best practices for using SAP Analytics Cloud with Fugo
Before we get into setup, here are a few recommendations:
1. Create a service account
We recommend using a service account with read-only access to the dashboards you want to display.
This ensures stability and minimizes interruptions from multi-factor prompts or personal account expirations.
2. Have your dashboard URL ready
When connecting your SAP dashboard in Fugo, you’ll need the specific dashboard URL. Copy it from SAP Analytics Cloud and keep it handy for the next steps.

Get a Secret Key (for SSO users only)
To securely connect Fugo to SAP Analytics Cloud, you’ll need a Secret Key only if your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO) to access SAP.
This key allows Fugo to authenticate through your Identity Provider (IdP) and retrieve your dashboard securely. You'll enter when you configure your dashboard in Fugo (step 7 in the section below).
I log in with SSO
If your SAP Analytics Cloud account uses Single Sign-On (SSO) through any (IdP), you’ll need to obtain your key from that provider.
Fugo currently supports SAML 2.0-based IdPs such as:
👉 Not using Google, Microsoft, or Okta?
Many other identity providers (like SAML-based platforms) work with Fugo as long as they support a TOTP-based authenticator app. Learn more in our guide to using SAML & other SSO providers with Fugo.
I don't log in with SSO
If you sign in to SAP Analytics Cloud using your email and password, you don’t need to create or enter a Secret Key.
Just log in when prompted during configuration (step 7 in the section below), and Fugo will connect to your SAP account.
Configure your SAP dashboard in Fugo’s SAP app
With your secret key or token ready, let’s connect your dashboard:
1. Log into your Fugo Account. If you don’t have an account yet, you can start your 14-day free trial here.
2. Click Dashboards in the top navigation bar → Create Dashboard.
3. This will launch a New Dashboard window.
4. Choose SAP Analytics Cloud from the list of dashboard apps.
5. Enter your dashboard URL.
6. You'll be prompted to log into your SAP account. Select your authentication method.
7. If you chose Log in with SAP Analytics Cloud, enter your username and password.
If you chose Log in with SSO, you'll need to input your secret key in addition to your username and password.
🤔 What's my secret key?
If your'e not sure what a secret key is, we cover what it is, why you need it, and how to get it from your identity provider in this section above.
8. Click Create.
You’ll see a “loading” screen while Fugo logs into your SAP account and captures a preview of your dashboard:
This can take some time, so don't sweat it if it takes a minute or two!
9. Once successful, click Save to store your dashboard in the library.
⚠️ If your dashboard preview wasn't generated & you see an error message, we recommend that you click Edit in the window & use the Advanced Settings guide to troubleshoot your dashboard. There are a few common errors these settings can help you fix!
If those don't help, go ahead & click Save on your dashboard & reach out to support@fugo.ai. We can take a look & help you find the error.
10. Your dashboard will now be saved in your Dashboards library. By default, we'll set its refresh interval to once per day.
💡 Tip: As long as you see the blinking green dot on your dashboard card, that means your authentication is working & Fugo can access your dashboard 👍
From here, you've got a few options:
Ready to put it on screen? 👉 Publish it to your screen/s
Not happy with how it looks? 👉 Customize the look & layout of your dashboard in the Design Studio
Want to update the refresh interval or troubleshoot you dashboard? 👉 Edit your dashboard - access the advanced settings
💡 Tip! Want to add another dashboard from the same platform?
You can use the Duplicate feature to easily create your next dashboard. All you need to do is provide the URL to your next dashboard and give it a name. That's all!
Fugo will re-use your stored credentials to access it.
Customize your dashboard display in the Design Studio
Not all dashboards are necessarily screen ready or "screen friendly" as we say at Fugo. Some may be quite long, have several small elements that aren't visible from a distance, or overwhelm the viewer with too much data at once.
You can use the cropping tool in Fugo's Design Studio to crop dashboards into more digestible pieces or otherwise satisfy your requirement for displaying it nicely on screen.
This video breaks down your options in detail 👇
In short, you'll need to:
Add your dashboard to your Design Studio canvas.
Use the crop tool to crop the elements (that is - charts, graphs, bars etc) you want displayed on screen.
Use the graphic design elements in the Studio (media, app widgets, text tickers, QR codes, etc) to embellish your slides and set the look & feel of your layouts.
A few ideas of customizations you may want to make are:
Add your company logo to your dashboard slides.
Incorporate other apps & integrations into the display, such as the World Clock app or CNN app to grab attention with live updating headlines.
Add QR codes to your display to create calls to action for your colleagues pertaining to your dashboards or workflows.
Add text boxes with important messages, reminders, or requests pertaining to your dashboards or data initiatives.

Publish your dashboard to your screen/s
You'll find all your saved dashboards in your Dashboards library:

1. Navigate to the Playlists page in the top navigation bar. Click Create Playlist.
2. Name your playlist.
3. Click Select Screens to choose which screen/s it will run on.
4. Now you can add your dashboard to your playlist. Click Select Content.
5. This will open the content picker window. Open the Dashboards tab and choose your dashboard.
6. Your dashboard is now added to your playlist, ready to be published right away or scheduled for a certain day or time using the scheduler.
💡 Check out our Playlists guide collection for the full scoop on:

Access the Advanced Settings (to troubleshoot some common errors).
Change your dashboard resolution to match your screen's resolution.
See what playlists this dashboard is currently added to.
