Playlists are the core concept at the heart of content creation with Fugo. We think publishing your content should be so easy that anybody on any team in any business can do it.
It just takes 3 steps - choose your content, choose your screen or screen group, then choose your schedule and bam - done.
But in case you do need a little help, here's a quick guide for how to create and publish a playlist with Fugo CMS.
Before we get started, there are a couple things to note:
Let's get started!
1) Log in to your Fugo account.
2) Navigate to the Playlist page in the top navigation bar.
3) Click the “Create Playlist” button.
4) Start by giving your playlist a name in the top left corner of the page. I’ll call mine “Sarah’s playlist.”
5) You can add screens, content, or schedule in any order. For the sake of ease, I’ll start with adding a screen. Click “Select Screens” and choose the screen or screen group where you want this playlist to run.
6) Select content to add to your playlist by clicking “Select Content” and choosing from your media or apps. Click “Add Items” when you’ve finished choosing your content.
7) Finally, if you’d like to schedule your content, you can start by indicating the start and end dates under “Date Range.” Tick the box for “No End Date” if you want your content to play indefinitely.
8) You can also set the week schedule by clicking and dragging along the schedule. Alternatively, you can select just “Workdays” or “Weekends” in the top right corner of the schedule if you want your playlist to run only on those days. If you want your content to run 24/7, you can click “Select All.”
Hint: Selecting “Workdays” will set your content to run from 8am - 7pm. You can change those hours by clicking on a day block, and manually entering the run times in the day’s window.
9) Once your schedule is set, click “Publish” in the right top hand corner to publish your new playlist! If you don’t want to publish right away, just click “Finish later” and it will save your playlist for you to edit later.
Viola - your content is live!
Hint: When you’re ready to come back to your playlist, you’ll find it saved on your Playlists page. Click “Publish” or select “Edit” from the dotted menu at the right of the playlist panel.
There you go! It really is that easy to publish your content with Fugo!

Twitter is where your org goes to share its voice - to tweet, retweet, chime in on threads, interact with customers, go viral, or just keep your business in the conversations that are most relevant to you & your audience.
Fugo’s Twitter app for digital signage allows you to easily share your Twitter feed in real time, as it updates, to your screens! Not only will it showcase that you’re social media game is on top - you can enlist your screens to grow your online audience!
Here’s how to get started:
1.1 Log into your Fugo Account. If you don’t have an account yet, you can start your 14-day free trial here.
1.2 Click Apps in the top navigation bar to get to our app store.
1.3 Scroll to find the Twitter Feed app in the store. To find it even faster, you can search for it via the search bar at the top of the store!
1.4 Click Try App to create a new playlist with the app.
Now that you’ve added the app to a playlist, let’s take a look at how to customize the settings!
2.1 A pop-up window will appear where you can customize the app’s settings.
2.2 First, click Login to Twitter in the right-hand settings panel in order to give Fugo access to your Twitter account.
2.3 This will open a new pop window asking you to authorize Fugo to access your account. Click Authorize app in the top left hand corner.
2.4 Your tweets will now appear in the window for previewing. The app settings will appear in the right hand panel.
2.5 First you can set the Duration per tweet (video tweets will run for the full duration of the video.) We recommend keeping it at the default 10 seconds.
2.6 Next you can set how many tweets to show.
2.7 You can also change the Background Color of your tweets. Usually it’s a good idea for the content on your digital signage screen to be consistent with your business branding. You can change the background colour to match your branding in the app settings: Either copy and paste the hexadecimal colour code or choose one from the color picker.
2.8 Finally, you can turn on Offline Mode. We recommend using this if your digital signage player does not have a reliable internet connection. When enabled, offline mode stores all the Tweets on your players so that when the internet connection is down your playback is not affected.
2.9 When you’re all done, click Save Changes in the bottom right hand corner of the window.
Hint: if you want to change the settings of the app at any point later, just click the Setup button on the app’s panel on the playlist page.
Almost there! Now that you’ve got the app set up to your preferences, let’s look at how to finish building your playlist and publish it.
3.1 Give your playlist a name (we suggest making it something relevant to distinguish it from other playlists later on down the road.)
3.2 Click Select Screens to choose where to publish your playlist.
3.3 If desired, you can add more content to your playlist by clicking Add More Content and choosing other apps or uploading media.
3.4 Finally, you can change the schedule of your content by setting the start and end date, and clicking Week Schedule to edit the days and times your content will run.
4.1 Once you’re all done setting up the playlist, click Publish in the top right hand corner of the screen to publish or schedule your content.
4.2 If you don’t want to publish just yet, you can click Finish Later and come back to your playlist at any time.
And there you have it! If you find yourself still scratching your head, you can contact our team for help any time at support@fugo.ai.

Stories are lurking within your data silos. Stories that can drive successful outcomes for your business across your teams - Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Accounts, Logistics, Finance, Product… the data is all there.
Looker’s data visualizations allow you to pull out those stories via collated dashboards which you can now display in conference rooms, warehouses, store rooms, sales offices, or wherever you need quick and central access to your data - which becomes expensive and difficult to distribute with a login tool.
Fugo’s Looker app gives you the ability to securely integrate data visualization from your Looker dashboards into your digital signage, without making sensitive data public.

When it comes to watching the news in a public setting there will always be mixed reactions. Some people will be interested while others will see it as a bother. A noisy live broadcast can be disruptive to your environment, while a muted TV running via closed captions often leaves people ignoring your screens - what a waste, considering you could be using that visual real estate to capture people’s attention and show them relevant content!
A great way to include the news as a part of your digital signage without disrupting your office, lobby, or restaurant environment is to use Fugo’s CNN app!
The app pulls headlines as they’re created and auto-updates them on screen in real time so you never miss a beat. It makes a great part of any dynamic playlist!

Note: if you’ve already set up G Suite and purchased Chrome licenses for your devices, you can skip down to part 2 of the Fugo Chrome OS Setup Guide below.
When running your digital signage on a Chrome device, we recommend using Fugo in kiosk mode.
Chrome devices include those that run on Chrome OS: Chromebits, Chromeboxes, Chromebases, and Chromebooks.
Kiosk mode allows you to run a single app on your Chrome device and lock it to keep anyone from interfering with it. Also, if there's a power failure or the app crashes, the device will auto-reboot the app again.
All Chrome devices require a Chrome license (a license you buy for device management) to run Fugo in kiosk mode. This license ties your Chrome device to your G Suite domain.
You can read this article for an in-depth explanation of the service and subscription options for Chrome devices, but the short version is that a Chrome Enterprise annual license will cost you $50 annually per device, while a Chrome Enterprise perpetual license will cost you $150 per device for the lifespan of the device. Either license will allow you to use Fugo in kiosk mode on your device.
Your Chrome licenses give you access to Chrome Enterprise, a suite of device management features for Chrome devices in Google Admin that lets you manage the Chrome devices you have licenses for. Google Admin is included with G Suite, so in order to use Chrome Enterprise in Google Admin, you’ll need to set up G Suite.
You can find pricing plans for G Suite here, but the short version is that a basic plan will run you $6 per user a month, while a business plan will run you $12 per user month.
Confused?
No problem. There’s a lot to absorb. Let’s break down what you’ll need and what the costs are:
CTL Chromebox CBX1 (base models starting around $249)
AOpen’s Chromebox Mini (coming in slightly over $200)
AOpen’s Chromebox Commercial 2 (base models start around $350)
Chromebase Mini (base price around $350)
This guide will cover 3 parts. If you’ve already set up G Suite and have your Chrome licenses you can skip forward to Part 2 below.
1.1. Set up G Suite with at least 1 user account for admin purposes
Like we said above, you’ll need your own domain to connect to your G Suite account. When setting up G Suite, you’ll have to set up at least one user account to be an administrator. For an in-depth guide for setting up G Suite, go here.
1.2 Purchase Chrome Enterprise licenses
You can purchase Chrome licenses manually from the Google admin console OR through a Google partner (the recommended way.) You can read in-depth about how to do it either way in this guide.
Alright, so you’ve set up G Suite, accessed the Google Admin console, and have purchased licenses for your devices. Now you need to go to the Chrome device management section of Google Admin console and add Fugo as a kiosk app for the devices you want to enroll.
By doing this the Fugo player app will automatically be installed on your devices and set to automatically launch and run in kiosk mode whenever you turn them on.
1.2 Login to the Google Admin Console
1.3 Click on Devices
1.4 On the next page, click on Chrome in the menu panel to the left
1.5 In the drop down menu click on Apps & extensions, then Kiosks
1.6 On the next page, hover and then click on the yellow Add by URL icon in the bottom right corner. Then enter the Fugo player URL into the space provided - https://player.fugo.ai - and click Save
1.7 A pop-up window will appear asking you to authorize Google to grant permissions to the Fugo web app. Click Agree.
1.8 Back on the Kiosks page you should now see React App (don’t worry - that’s Fugo) as the Auto-launch app. Directly next to that on the right, click on the drop down icon under Installation policy and select React App. This will set the Fugo app to autostart.
1.9 Now that you’re done, click Save in the top right corner of the window
With Fugo set as a kiosk app for your devices, you can enroll them.
Note: If you’ve used your Chrome device prior to this setup you’ll need to wipe your device. You can find detailed instructions for how to do that here.
3.1 Turn on your Chrome device and follow the instructions on screen until you get to the sign in screen. Don’t sign in just yet. If you see the enrollment screen instead of the sign-in screen, go to Step 4.
3.2 If you're enrolling a Chromebook tablet, tap Email or phone. Then, tap the three-dot "More" icon > Switch to full layout to open the on-screen keyboard.
3.3 Before signing in to your device, press Ctrl+Alt+E to go to the enrollment screen
3.4 Enter the username and password from your Google admin welcome letter or for a Google Account that has eligibility to enroll.
3.5 Click Enroll device. When you get a confirmation message that the device is successfully enrolled, click Done.
Once this is all done your Chrome device may reboot and launch Fugo as a kiosk app.
You can find instructions for how to add your screen to a Fugo account here.
